Subject: Revised Citizen’s Charter of Department of Posts.

Madam/Sir,

          The Citizen’s Charter of the Department of Posts has been reviewed and revised. The revised Citizen’s Charter has been approved by the Hon’ble MOC&IT on 04.07.2016 and is ready for wide scale dissemination.

          While approving the Citizen’s Charter, Hon’ble MOC&IT viewed that:
“The Department should ensure that the time period mentioned in the Charter for delivery of services is followed strictly to make this charter a success.”

          Detailed copy of the Citizen’s Charter will be made available on the Department website i.e. indiapost.gov.in.

          Short version of the Citizen’s Charter is enclosed with this communication. It is requested to display this short version in all the prominent Post Offices and all administrative offices.

          Soft copy of the short version of Citizen’s Charter in PDF format is also being e-mailed.
